New Zealand
New Zealands are considered a dual-purpose breed for meat and fur. They are a 6 Class breed, which means they show as Juniors (under 6 months), Seniors (over 8 months) and Intermediates. (6-8 months). At maturity the does are supposed to be 10-12 pounds and the bucks slightly smaller at 9-11 pounds. They grow fast and can easily make 5 pounds by 10 weeks.
We started raising Whites in 2019 for our county fair meat pens so the kids could sell them at the 4H auction. We've recently expanded to other varieties including Reds, Brokens and Blacks
